I just put 18's on my 99 SVT. It looks great and handles great. My only problem is that under hard left turns my right rear rubs. Its not hitting the fender. Im confused, The wheels came withe spacers saying theat the use of one may be neccessary, but they are plastic and I dont trust them. If anyone has any info please let me know.

Doh!

Those aren't spacers, those are hub-centering rings.

I'm not so sure whether these plastic ones do good enough of a job, or at least help center the wheel, but I have mine on anyways.

I highly suggest you put them on as well, it certainly won't hurt.

Also make sure you torque down your wheels while they are in the air, not on the ground. This is important with lug-centric wheels, otherwise you might be picking up your lug nuts and studs off the ground.

I have found that the best way to tell where they are rubbing and how to fix is to drive on the wheels for about a week. Check often as to make sure that tires aren't being cut by metal fender lip. most rubbing occurs when the tire is rubbing the plastic inner fender well. Unless of course you got a wheel with a lower offset then needed, then there will be some real problems. Anyways, jack the car up, and use an airsaw, die grinder, handheld hacksaw, heavy duty tin snips (you get the drift) and cut out just the section of the inner fender well that is being rubbed. You can tell by looking that it has been rubbing. If it is the metal fender lip, you may need to roll the fenders. Post back and let me know...

Mushu's pretty cool too!
