Goodyear SUCKS If your looking for some tires go with the BFG KDWS, they are all-season AND speed rated. I believe the speed rating is 168 mph so I think your covered :p

If you DON'T have an SVT, aren't racing or going over 110mph... You don't "need" the expense of a 'Z' tire. The Aquatreds are ok for everyday use. Most of the tire talk here is for "cool looking" wheels and tires , or hot street racing tires. The STOCK BFG KDW's on the SVT are a GOOD tire. for a non SVT they could be a good choice too if you drive FAST (+ want to have to buy 16" wheels)and they are fantastic in the rain if they have at least 3/4 of the tread left (when the tread is worn they loose some of the grip). If you want advice for 'normal' driving and a good, safe tire, The Goodyears are nice tires.

There is only one Goodyear tire that has impressed me, and it's on the wife's pickup. A lot of tires channel water very well without the name aqua-xxxx. It's just marketing. If you're looking for an all-season tire, the best I've heard right now is the Dunlop SP5000. BFG KDWS is also good.
As for speed ratings, it means a whole lot more than how fast you go. I bought H rated (<129mph) tires just once in my life. Totally changed the car to a soft, cushy family sedan ride. The car was speed limited to 110mph so you'd think it was a fine match. Higher speed ratings mean stiffer sidewalls for better performance, even if you never drive more than 70mph. You'll have the control to handle the car at that speed, not let the tire roll over and scream in protest.

I guess some of us have had some Goodyears that actually "wore" good. Now I haven't had any luck at all with them and by the way, who buys Goodyears anyways, I mean really? They're never on any of the nice rides that I see :p

APT CSVT is correct, speed ratings mean as much or more about conering ability as they do about straight line speed. The difference in handling between an "H" rated tire and a "Z" rated tire is night and day. You do, however, have a trade off in treadwear and mileage warranty, Z tires don't come with warranties.
