I really like tirerack.com's system, but I can't for the life of me get any BBS tires to show up as an option for the tour, despite the fact that they list them as an offered brand. I want to look at painted BBSs as a possibility for my T-red tour.
Did I completely overlook something?

I think JVT had a set of BBS's but he ran into problems due to the offset of the wheels..

I don't think BBS offers any wheels that correctly fit the Contour which is why they don't show up on Tirerack's fitment guide.

BBS themselves say that the 17" RX fits the contour (i emailed 'em), and tire rack does show it as an option on the cougar. however, as mentioned above, JVT's wore out a set of tires in 3k miles or so, iirc. they fit fine on a cougar, though..... i don't understand it, but...

Yes, I did have the BBS RX wheels, but they caused me some problems. Apparently there were some slight suspension changes made from the '98 to '99 CDW-27 platform which will enable for the BBSs to fit properly on '99s. The offset is only 35mm, too low for '98s. They were awesome looking wheels, still my favorite. Only the TD wheels come close. Had to sell them to Blorton. John

Nooo... sigh. Hmm. Well what's the general consensus on TSW rims? What I'd really like to do is get a pattern at least similar to the common BBS pattern, and have the interior part of the wheel (be patient, I know zero wheel terminology) painted to match my car, leaving the silver "exterior" to ring as a border between the paint and the actual tire. This is obviously hella concept at this point, like whether I could do this at all cost effectively, but I'd love the way it would look, and definitely be the only tour in my area with such rims. Thoughts? Flames?
