Ok....I have my choices narrowed down to 2 tires here....either the Bridgestone RE 950 or the Bridgeston RE930. Tire rack has the 950 for 75 and i've read some great reviews from you guys as well as tire reack. BUT the 930 is 83 bucks installed at the costco near my house. Could anyone give me their opinion and tell me what the difference between the two are? Thanks guys

Chances are the 950 at tire rack is the newer model than the 930. 950 is probably the 2002 whereas the 930 is the 2001. Tire Rack has a lower price than costco because it doesnt include valve-stems, mounting, rotation...etc. You're probably getting a better deal with costco because at tire rack you have to add shipping and all the installation charges once you get the tire. Unless you plan to buy wheels from tire rack, I'd go with costco.

A week ago, after an SVT track day, I drove directly to my local tire shop and had a set of 225/50/16's, 950's put on. So far they seem to be a great tire. Alex

The 950s, I believe, replace the 930s, and according to an old post by Luke at Tire Rack, the 950s are "significantly better." You may wind up with a better price for the 930s, but you'll be buying an old design. The 950s, from what I've read at tirerack.com, look like great tires.
