Ever since I put on 205-55-16's I've had a little bit of rub on the rear wheels (with quite a bit of weight in the rear). Now, I went and installed Eibach lowering springs and 225-50-16's. I get probably the worst case wheel rub out there and it's just me in the car (I'm not a big boy). I don't even know what excatly the tires are rubbing on.

Anyway, is there any sugestions you guys can give me? Possibly a no to little cost solution or band-aid.

Thank-you.

BTW I ended up going with the RE910's (price)

It's probably the wheelwell. I just went to a bike trip with 3 friends. We had 4 bikes on top and about 100lbs of gear (so, that's a total of 650lbs extra in the car), and I got a lot of wheel rub whenever we go over bumps. I found that the wheel rub is from the sidewall of the tire hitting the wheelwell. It's probably just because of the 225 width though.

I think my solution will be filing some of the wheelwell off.

There should be some witness marks left where the wheels have been rubbing. Take the wheels off and have a good look at the fender liner, wheel lips, struts, and anything else that looks a bit close.

I found and fixed my problem. It was a lip where the fender comes together right by where the bumper starts. I ended up bending the lip over by tapping it with a small brass mallet. No wheel rub what so ever now!

Thanks Guys
