I need new tires and everybody seems to like BFG's KDWs for the SVT. I saw an ad for a free G-Tech with a purchase of BFGs. I don't really want to spend $400 on tires when I plan on doing a +1 upgrade next spring. But this G-tech promotion sounds cool. Is it worth spending $50 more on tires to get it?

Josh, you can always get Michelins and get two portable radios.... you know that we could use more of them on our next drive ![laugh laugh](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif)

Tough call. If you're constantly upgrading and tuning, very valuable. To me it'd be a neat toy. If I planned to get new rims next year, I'd skip getting new tires now or just buy the new rims now with new tires.

Thats what I was gonna do but spent the money on something else and my tires are going bald. $400 is easier to come up with than $1100.

If you have to buy new tires now and replace them in the spring, I see a few options. Get some all seasons for the rainy months (snows if you lived in a colder climate). Get some more KDW's and either burn them off by then or sell them come spring. Get some of the cheapest tires you can find.

Well I live in California...it rarely rains and never snows so a performance tire is what will suit me best. Perhaps almost new KDW's will get me some mo money when upgrade time comes. ![laugh laugh](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif)

I got the KDW. I was also thinking of getting new rims next Spring but then I realized that with the way I drive, my new set of KDW will be bald by next Spring and I would have got my money worth anyway. This is my 3rd set of KDW on my Cougar and I also live in CA where it never rains. Great tires for this part of country.
