Hi Guys,

My uncle own a 1998 Contour SE V6 5Spd and now he's looking for good tires to use on his stock wheels. He wants good performance on rain and also something that will last because he's doing like 20K miles a year.

Thanks smile

I can't vouch for how long they will last. But, for good inexpensive tires that perform awesome in the rain, there is no better then Kumho's. I have had mine 8K miles and have rotated them once, plenty of tread....Crazy in the rain.

If you have a COSTCO or SEARS near you, get the Michelin Energy MXV4+ P205/60R15/91H Blackwall. They are about $107 each. They are WAY BETTER than the stock Stones, they are fantastic in the rain, they get much better gas mileage, and they take corners like RAILS.

Sears will rotate and balance for you, for LIFE, if you purchase the road Hazard Warrantly, which I recommend.

As the salesman told me, if you lose control of your car and hit the curb, the RH Warranty will replace the tire, FREE, but if you jump the sidewalk and hit a store, you're on your own.

I like the Yokohama AVS dB for $65 each from tirerack in 205/60-15. The lasted me nearly 39k miles. I put 24k a year for work alone, much less trips to Florida.
