Found a really good deal on 205/50/16's (from a friend). Will these work ok on stock SVT wheels? I'm a tire idiot so please help.

Your speedometer will be a little off since your sidewalls will be 5mm shorter on each side. (10mm total for .4 inches less than original diameter) I forget which way this will affect the readout, but this is discussed often so a search should turn up lots of info.

Smaller tires will cause the speedo to read fast. Check it out on the tire calculator at www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Personally, I would not want a smaller diameter tire on my SVT because of ground clearance problems.
