Do any of you know the factory 16" rim weight? I am about to purchase a set of OZ Superleggar rims weight just 8 kilos(17.6lbs)So I am venturing a guess here that that should be comparable to the 16" factory rim weight if not less.

The Superleggeras are fantastically light
for a cast wheel. They're definitely quite
a bit lighter than stock. You can't really
go much lighter without buying forged wheels;
even the semi-solid-forged SSR GT-1 isn't as
light as the cast Superleggerra is.

Trust me, the M3 and S4 guys are DROOLING on
the Superleggerra, check their forums.

BTW: If you have a '98 with the Cosworth-type
16" wheel, they're about 20-21 pounds or so.

Too bad they won't be available till mid May and the S4 fitment will need spacers to clear the front brakes...not drooling so much now with the new info.

Hey Kevin are you planning on buying the 18in. wheel? As far as I know it won't be released for our bolt pattern for a few months. If you're getting the 17in, then the wheel weight is only 15.4 lbs. Great wheel, just waiting for the 18!

CYS, definitely... but maybe an S4 fitment is
going to come along. Sucks about the delay in
production though... The BMW fitment came out
pretty quickly because AFAIK there's already
some people running them.

No 18" promised by mid May. I think they sould be worth the wait. Apparently there will be a white weel with red lettering avialable in the summer.
cheers Kevin

I'm not sure if this is really related but do yourselvers a favor...move the wheel weights to the inside, where all the breakdust builds up, it saves the marking up of the lip of your rims. The balancing is fine, I had no problems at 130 mph
