Hey guys.... I need some help....
I want this size of rim... prolly running 215/40s
Do you think this will fit?? I have a 98 SVT, lowered with Eibach & Koni
Has ANYONE DONE THIS?? I need a quick reply!! Will the offset push it out toward the fenderwell or in toward the shocks/struts??
THANKS IN ADVANCE!! Jason

A higher offset will move the wheel outwards.

Im running 18x7.5 with a 45 offset and 225/40 tires. Rubbing has a little to do with how much play you have in your suspension as well as the offset. The 45 offset is good but ive heard of Eibach H&R guys rubbing with this wheel but im running Ground Control and I have no rubbing at all, the suspension is stiff. I wouldnt suggest running anything but a 225/40 because as soon as you get them on your car youll see what I mean, the sidewall is THIN and youll probably hate yourself for getting anything less. But then again, the bigger the tire the more of a chance to rub. So good luck.

i believe the lower the offset the more the wheel will stick out. most people run a 7.5 wheel w/ a 42 offset and 7 inch wheel w/ 40 offset. if u ran a 7.5 w/ 40 offset, it'll make the wheel stick out more and very likely rub. so 45offset w/ a 7.5 wheel should be pretty good. thats why our stock wheels are 48-49 offset and they dont stick out to the fender (they're also 6.5 inch wheels). to get the 6.5 to stick out to the fender you'd probably have to run a 38-40 offset.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

I just put on 18x7.5 45 offset with 225/40's...I have eibach springs and haven't experienced any rubbing at all. As long as you have a high offset like a 45, which brings the wheel in more, you shouldn't have any problems...
