You're likely looking for 17x7 wheel, 4x108mm
bolt pattern, offset in the 40-45 range (give
or take - check it, your SE may vary from my
numbers) ... and a good-looking design.

Koni's did the trick for me ... I was rubbing the fender in the back forever when I got my 18's, until I got the Koni's and made it a stiffer ride. Now, I do not rub on anything. I'd also recommend getting the Ground Control Coil Over kit so that you can customize your ride level. This combo worked wonders for my suspension department, and the car looks fat as hell now.

Joey's car was a 99, had the newer fenderliner. It didn't rub anywhere in there or on the fenderlips. My car is a 98, it was rubbing but the fenderliner is still intact, but it still rubs the fenderlips. My car is using 18x8's with a 40mm offset. I have Koni's and H&R's, it helps a little to keep the tires off the fenders, but it's not a miracle, as they still rub on big hits/dips/heavy loads. Joey no longer has his Contour, he got purchased a 99 Cobra, and immediately slapped on 19" HRE's, 8.5's in front, 10.5's in the back.

Yes I rub with my 18s, but I guess I've learned to live with it.
