It seems that since I posted a couple of wheels that are 18" many people have chosen to "flame" me. Going so far as to say that I do not care about the advice that I offer. The wheels I posted were load tested for the application that the contour needs. as far as other wheels I do not know their testing procedures or even if they were tested for a given application. That is why I will not recommend them. Since this has been what this forum has chosen to do and support I will limit my comments on products to basic info such as cost and availablity and no testing , safety, performance or value related info or issues . Apparently the people here know more about cars than somebody who has been in the automotive industry for over 20 years and has been racing for 18 years. If anybody here feels that I offered incorrect info I do apologize but, the info I offered was correct at the time. Man, I hate when good people are "flamed"... I have never posted in here unless I have a question, but I have always read these forums. Some people just have to get over their egos of "know-it-alls" and listen to people that do this for a living and not as a hobby. Luke@tirerack: Will you still do one-on-one inquiries?? I am interested in some tires, and more than willing to call you directly. Luke, It's a sad day when someone who tries to help out gets such treatment. Hopefully you won't let a few "bad apples" deter you from commenting. I really enjoy reading your advise on tires, wheels, and other topics. Please keep the comments coming. Thanks for your hard work. ------------------ Ryan W. 1998 T-Red SVT E0 #634 (KKM) Austin/Cedar Park, Texas

Luke, I did flame you, But I did stop flaming after I realized I over reacted. I never acted like I knew it all, in fact if I did I wouldnt have asked you questions. When I was intrested in 18's on my tour you said 18's dont fit on contours, you didnt say some 18's will and some 18's wont. you told me all 18's wont fit. No biggie, the info on sizes was to little back then and I understand that. I will leave with this thought. if I went to a ford dealership to buy a contour and the sales person said that the v6 contours push 105hp.would I buy from that sales person? No, I wouldnt I would want some one that knows a little more about the car. but if that same sales person said some thing like, I dont know how much hp it has let me find out. would I buy from that sales person? Yes, becuase even though he works at a place where he should know everything about the car's he sells. he was honest and didnt say something that he wasnt sure about. thats my thought Micah ------------------ 97 LX v6 kkm intake custom cold induction svt exhaust no resonator Front& rear strut Bar performance struts eibach springs nitto 450, 205/50/15 side markers <<<<< >>>>> Lighten Flywheel 14 lbs Performance Clutch No Catalitic Converter SVT Differential (Thanks to Matt!)
