Hi,
I have a 1995 Mystique GS. I bought a set of EO wheels, still with the 205/55/16 goodyears (put them on yesterday). This morning I noticed a noise coming from the rear wheel / passenger side.
I think the tire is rubbing the strut. The sound is most noticeable in a right turn and at low speeds. There is certainly more "clearance" on the drivers side than the passenger side.

I have heard the SVT wheels should work on any contique without hassle.

Any ideas what to do? The wheels look so much nicer than the 14inch ones I replaced. Must I go back?

Thanks,
podangus.

Check the inner fender liner. It is most likely rubbing on that. The newer contours have a different one because the SVT tires were rubbing on it. The fix if I remeber correctly was for ford to cut out part of the liner (it's only plastic) and then put a nwe piece behind the original one, that way it is back enough so that the tire doesn't rub.

Is your car lowered?
