Anyone using 225/45 17's and not rubbing? I was just wondering what width of rim you were using and what offset you had on your wheels.

I want to run this size but don;t want to end up with any rubbing

I wanted to run P225-45-17's but was told it would rub. I was also told that P225-50-16's would rub and they didn't, I had them on my OEM rims all winter and NO problems at all. I ended up going with the 215's which look good and all but I'll put on the 225's if I hear other wise in the future.

Is your car lowered? My car is lowered nearly 2" and I have 225-45-17 with 42mm offset and it rubs...Had to have the fender rolled. Someone I know with the same setup, but not lowered rubs minimally under heavy dips with lot's of weight in the car...

I suspect that a lot of if it will work or not depends on the offset and rim width on the wheels. 225/50R16 is a close fit with stock SVT wheels so there is not much room for error. You would definitely want to have the help of a tire shop that was willing to sell you something different if it did not fit when you actually tried it on the car.
