I have about 55,000 miles on a set of 225/50R16 H rated Continental 4000H tires on my 98 E0 SVT. They fit absolutely perfectly. I chose an H rated tire because I wanted to gain some tire life over the Goodyear GS-C tires that it came with. It looks like I will be in the market for another set in about 5,000 miles. I will most likely go with the same size tire next time, but I'm not sure what brand or model, since the Continental 4000H seems to have been discontinued. Others on the Contour L List, including the "ticket guy" Eric have also been using this size with success. I think he has BF Goodrich KDW's, but only two since two of the 215/50R16 tires he had were not worn out yet.
