Anonymous Unregistered A	I would like to know what is required to put 235/45/17 on a Contour SVT. What width of rim is required, and what would be the proper offset. Please note that I am planning on dropping the car no more then an inch with a coil overs. Your input would be appreciated.

I've seen 225/50HR16 Euro TA's on a stock Contour and you can't put a pencil between the tire and the strut. 96LX/24V/ATX/Midnight Red/A4 repeaters/SVT exhaust/KKM/65mm throttlebody/SVTsprings and ST200 struts/SE rockers and BAT spoiler/BAT 19mm swaybar/urethane bushings/Kenwood 7 speaker syst./E1 SVT brakes w Powerslot rotors/9005 lowbeams/885 fogs/50% tint/Michelin XM+S 130's for winter/E1's with gForces for summer...and now "New Paint!!" 87 Renault GTA convertible/2.0l/mtx/Sony sound/otherwise stock http://members.shaw.ca/neilmc/

Anonymous Unregistered A	I guess the PPG SVT Contour must have had a lot of fabrication done in order to have the wider tires fit and the awesome 4 piston Brembo calipers. To bad not available to us regular folk....

I know of a fellow who has dropped his car with H&R springs and runs 235/40/17 at the track and has no problems! Granted they are a lower aspect ratio, but it is also a wider tire!
