Hi there...
Just wondering if anyone out there has replaced their stock seats? If so, what did you use? Were you able to utilize the stock tracks?
My back is sick of the seat in my 99 SE Sport. I am looking for a replacement... possibly an SVT, but considering how much I am hating my current Ford seat at the moment, I may want to go with something non-Contour.
TIA,
--Dave

Here. Quick. Hurry! http://www.ctamotorsports.com/ The SVT seats are very nice (if you like leather). The leather is a better quality than Mercedes C-230 (which feels like vinyl), but not as supple as a Jag's.

John Thank you! My sentiments exactly. The SVT leather sucks, even the earlier SEs had nicer stuff..

Tartan...
Which Recaros? How much were they and where did you get them?
I am seriously thinking about Recaros... or even the Recaros that were stock in 87-9? VW Golfs. Those were some really nice seats.

John I drive a C230 regulary (its in the family). The leather is stiff, creaks, and won't breathe. The leather in my SVT breathes, and is supple. The ONLY quality diff I see is that the SVT has a scar-mark, which doesn't bother me, while the Mercedes is blemish free. That's the primary cost difference in leathers. The japs used to use a leather that shrank with age (that's why they liked the "tufted" look so much). They seem to have changed.
