No problem. the dealer can tell you of all the recalls performed on your car so you know if the switch has been replaced or not. I'd at least try and find out that information from them.

Open your trunk. Standing from behind, on the left side (drivers side) you should see some wires that ride along the hinge/strut that opens the trunk. Sometimes they are in a black plastic sleeve. At the end of that sleeve, there is a connecter. Make sure its connected properly. Better yet, come to this meet and if I am there, I will show ya.
