Fut the Wuck! I'm sick of seeing all these rice burners drinving around with billboards on their ass end. Do you forget that the contour is a front wheel drive car? What the hell is the point of putting a wing back there if you're not going to utilize it. All you're doing is slowing your car down with the drag that you're inducing, and you look like an asshole in the process. Take some advice from the rest of the people on this page and keep the styling consistent.

Jaydog, "....it is about what will make you look stupid..." stupid to who? To you? Unless you can get a 100% consensus from the entire world population to go against this guy and his tastes, you need to realize that just because it is stupid to you has no bearing on other people's tastes, even though some may think like you.... but the reason the wings are out there is because of the reality that people do buy them and use them.... which means that not everyone thinks they are stupid...... I agree that the Supra style wing IMO does NOT flow with the lines of the car and may have drag to it as well as not functioning, but if someone wants to spend their hard earned money on something like this and is happy with it, then that is all that matters. Until I start paying my own money out for someone else's mods, what they do to their car does not put any shame in my game. I will voice my opinion and say that it is not my thing, as this is what these boards are for which is to share our views and opinions on some topics but I am not going to sit there and totally rip someone up calling them names and such. A car that looks bad in my eye only makes my car more attractive to me. Maybe the "ricers" think that your aesthetic mods are stupid too..... ever think about that? Whether a car is stupid or not does not matter... that is your OPINION and is not absolute truth.... and in opinions, we ALL differ... maybe a bit of overlap in some areas between people but not everyone likes the same things, so why try the impossible feat of trying to please everybody when it is much simpler to just go with what makes you happy and looks good to you, especially when it is YOUR money? Nobody else's thoughts are going to control my decisions and my future.

Just put an Aluminum GT wing oubtback, and it's a done deal. Don't get one that's really up in the clouds and make sure that the mounting stands are fairly close to each other, if there far apart it probably won't look good mainly because the trunk is rounded and not square. Rice or no RiceI guarantee it'll look good, which is really all it will be is to look good, for those special occasions you know!!!!Aloha

I really could care less what others think of my car as long as I love it. This is my wing. I had on the car once I first bought it. The only reason I left it on there was so imports would look at me. It got their attention. When my SVT killed their car the wing was worth the laughter. Seeing the look on their face once a FORD killed thier import was the best part. here is the address of my wing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eB...bayphotohosting

Certainly will get your car noticed with that wing Matt! I kinda like it... Oops, am going to get yelled at now :p
The wing on the british touring car mondeo looked super sweet! Although, not sure how it would look on the non hatchback Contour.

There it goes again...
The crack pipe being passed around.
Just such a shame you had to ruin a car with such beautiful lines with that monstronsity just to get attention.
Why not just turbo a Geo Metro and get the same results? Hell you can probably do it for about the same cost of that wing.

Ya know I've been around this Forum for a while now.(you can tell by my member number)
These are the thing I have come to learn about this site: 1. My grammar sucks 2. My spelling sucks 3. My car is not a SVT 4. I'm not an american 5. I don't have a ton of money to sink in to my car 6. I don't mind looking at the odd "rice" civic and thinking its not bad 7. I don't always use the "Search" function to find 1000 hits on a subject that I have a simple yes or no question on
And any one that shares one or more of my "insites" will get blasted for not being perfect, or not having the same opinion as everyone else, or for wanting his car to look like HIS car.
I have never seen this amount of people that thought the were better than Xtreme Paradise just because he wants to put a personal item on his car.
No wonder my post number is as low as it is.

{Until now}, I had never seen an amount of people that thought they were better than Xtreme Paradise because he wants to put a personal item on his car.
No wonder my post number is as low as it is. For starters, 82 posts isn't that low. Look at my total... and I've been posting since... heck, I can't even remember. :p Second: With this forum, a gigantic wing is not so much about 'personal taste' as it is about 'fashion'; do you know what I mean? If it can be safely assumed that the general public will dislike vehicle because of something you added to it in order to stylize or to make it 'uniquely yours', then it's generally considered either 1: a faux pas or 2: poor-to-exceedingly-bad taste. I stand on the same side as everyone else because I believe that form follows function. That's one reason I love my car. It's a grocery-getter and that's what it looks like. Third: IMNSHO, the only people here who are going to blast you will be those who are seeking approval/acceptance from established CEG'ers and be noticed. .RMk..
