Just got a speeding ticket. 50mph in a 40mph. 90 dollars. Yikes!! Its been so long since I got a ticket I forgot how expensive they are. Someone make me feel better and say you got a ticket recently too.

Use a lawyer. They will get it down to defensive driving. Did you get it in BA or Tulsa?

Last speedding ticket I got was in 1974! Had my MG Midget max'd out @ 80! Texas DPS came out of the sun and nailed me. Cost me $25.

-R- That's what I thought, but it was almost 3 in the morning and it was a local cop who stopped me so maybe he was just being nice. But I was told that the fine is only doubled if it is posted, and at this site it wasn't so I guess that's why it was cheap.  BTW, first ticket and hopefully my last! knock on wood! :p

$75 is not cheap! Especially since you aren't really doing nothing wrong! I hate cops and their mainstream way of generating revenue for their sorry budget!

My arguement was how late it was and I was only 3 miles from home and just wanted to get there a little quicker! Now that I think more of it, the cop was a being a pr1ck! He11, there wasn't anybody else out at that hour of the morning! Nor was there any construction taking place at that hour either! It may have been at the end of the month so they needed money to meet their quota, I don't remember. All I know was that if I wasn't ticketed in a const. zone, I could have gotten out of it for only 5 miles over!

ah, i'm 17 and i've had two tickets before. Medicine Park going toward the Wichita Moutains. 62 in a 45, 17 miles over, i thought it would be more than what it was, i paid $96. Second ticket was here in Lawton, 59 in a 50..got a warning, had i been going 60, i would of gotten a ticket.
