i want the sides to come on only when the turn signal is flashing , i cant figure out the wiring, i hooked the white wire to the blue & orange wire of the turn signal, and the black ground to the black ground of the turn signal but the light flashes really fast and the light in the dash stays on, what am i doing wrong? I can just splice in like the diagram shows that someone has, right?
thanks.

I would like to know how to set mine up like that too. I installed my sidemarkers months ago but haven't wired them yet.

I am working on my car this weekend so I could do the wiring also, if I had some instructions.

that sounds right, it should work fine like that. try grounding the sidemarker to the car body, see if that works.

I always thought that if you have a light on the dash flashing really fast that meant that you had a bulb out.

Do I need any resistors or diodes to hook up between the sidemarker and lights?

Did you have the front turn signal hooked up when you were testing? If you didn't, that would explain the "turbo blinker" that you are experiencing. If you do a search on this topic you'll find the schematic and it's quite easy to follow. If not, let me know I might have it saved somewhere on my comp and could email it to you if I can find it.

Thanks for the schematic. Since it will be raining all weekend here in dallas I will be in the garage messing with the tour instead of at the lake.

Thanks
