Here is an Eclipse showing a LOT of weight transfer to have had suspension mods eek

By the looks of that driving position maybe he's just out for a Sunday drive! wink

Note to novice: Resting the elbow on the window sill is not an effective method of grasping the steering wheel. laugh

Thanks for posting the pictures, Matt! See the Altima does not lean excessively! Although you guys think YOU need an LSD. Try 246 ft/lbs.

Actually, Matt, you would have easily finished 2nd out of 4 G Stock cars. The winner has Victoracers and is probably untouchable...good driver working with a so so car, none are nationally competitive that I know of. The other guy is Gulf Coast (Pensacola) region's best G Stock guy but he is on RE701s(?) and has a VR6 with even more weight up front...I think he said an extra 100+ lbs on the nose! Anyway he was 2 seconds back from us at both events.

Thanks for answering 4mula1's question...I saw it at work, but never post from there. Prattville's right around the corner...in Alabama terms, 95 miles.

Thanks. I have it on the calendar now. It's only about an 1 1/2 drive. I look forward to meeting everyone.

SVTCole,
From the pictures it looks like your car could use some more negative camber on both ends of the car. Does the car understeer at the limit? If it does, you might try a bigger front bar to help this. I know it goes against conventional wisdom, but it works on some cars by stopping body roll and keeping the tire from going into positive camber, as it appears your car does from the picture. A bigger front bar helped my Protege stick the front end much better and a lot of the fast GM F-body autocrosser are finding it works for them also for the same reason. I bought a handling kit back in the early 90's from Rod Millen Motorsports and was never happy with the balance on the car. It was a piggy back arrangement on the front bar, that caused me to lose 1" of ground clearance I couldn't afford, with a larger rear bar. So 2 years a go I had a custom bar bent for the front to go in the stock location. The new bar was a higher rate, about 10%, than the previous combination. It made the whole package work much better, the front stayed visibly flatter with the tires never going to positive camber and the car was MUCH easier to rotate when I needed it to. Good luck with the new car.

Respectfully,
Andy Hohl
