to any of you bama folks - svtcole, big money racing, anyone else - when (and where) is the next auto-x event in our fine state of alabama? i'd love to at least come spectate at one before long....not ready to jump in w/ both feet, but just watching would at least be a start. obviously, the closer to me (b'ham) the better, but montgomery or something like that would be fine....not even sure how far ozark is from here... thanks!

Blake, you just missed your local event there in Birmingham at the dog track last weekend. Look up www.scca.org and go down to the mid-right side and click on regional websites, and then Southeast Division, and then Alabama region. You won't find our Wiregrass region because we have no website. Our next event just south of Ozark is on April 14, a Sunday, around noon. We are 3 hours to your south, taking I-65 to Southern Blvd in Montgomery to U.S. Hwy 231 going another 80 miles south. A long drive, but the good thing is there is another RSX-S that shows up and he is a new guy, too! We have a very large facility to really test your car's legs...plus me and Matt can show you some pointers to take on the other RSX-S. I will say that Alabama region has a much bigger turn out. Go to there website and click on the results of their March 17 event. Two guys to watch for our Charles Wright and Clay McCool who drive G Stock Neon ACRs. For some reason McCool drove a R/T at this event. I believe both are national contenders.
