Good color Vern. I like those wheels, too. Hope you guys can put on an autocross at the National Event. I would be more likely to make that one since it is just 12 hours away and I have nearby relatives.

Cool. Funny, your mod list looks very similar to mine (well, my wish list, anyway). It's all about class rules.

How long have you been racing?

Looking good! Very similar mod list to mine as well..
How close a fit are the Azenis's in 225? I've been looking at getting them but I don't really want to rub when going over big bumps and such. How competitve are you in STS w/those mods?

Here is a pic of my Contour in autocross action. Unfortunately, it is a picture of my husband driving it. He only drove it a few times in autocross. I drove it the whole season.

He thinks it's faster with the lights on. laugh  Really though, he bought me true HID's and he wanted to "show them off" to some friends.

Note the CEG sticker in the passenger corner windshield laugh He ran it GS, I ran it STS.

Well the H&R springs lowered me 1" in front and 1.5" in rear. The Falken Azenis 225x45x17 rub on the front Fender liner only. I thought about removing liner for clearance but there is a long bolt going through and would rather hit plastic than the bolt. But the rubbing is not bad even If

I push car hard. The rear is a different story. We touch the inside edge of the rear fender well.
Took a crescent wrench and rolled the inner lip up and took a wood block and hammer and completed rolling the inside lip. I promise it SOUNDS MUCH WORSE than is really is! NO PAINT CHIPPING at all. Now the rear touches only on very ruff surfaces. An as the tread wears the clearance increased. I am not talking allot of rub just a 1/16 of an inch very close. But the Thump is a Thump.

As far as racing goes this is the start of my third year. The Contour is competitive against anything except for the Neon ACR and the Subaru

Impressa. These are very tuff cars and National competitive drivers driving them also. On a tight
technical 60 second course I am with in 1-2 seconds. On a fast open course I am within one second. If it has allot of 180% and sweepers I'll drop to 3-4 seconds. Front tires have trouble hooking up and I burn the inside front coming out of a turn. Try to dance gas but at some time you need to floor it!. Limited slip would help alot but I am not running street mod! Those guys are nuts! and spend TOO much money.

Good racing
Vern
