just wanting to see how many autocrossers there are on this site that compete in St. Louis. Like who is stock? Who is modified? and how good the cars are for that because I autocross my cobra now. But I do not drive it in the rain or bad weather, so I want to use my 'tour for those and for the wentsville GM events.

Thanks

I run the St. Louis Region events in either my Mazda Protege in STR or my CSVT in STS. Next year I will be running a Miata for the majority of the events. There is a driver or two in FS that are competitive. If your Cobra runs in ESP, there are some good drivers there also. Look me up at the events.
Respectfully,
Andy Hohl

I'm going to be running my '98 SVT this year in GS. I ran one event last season, so this is going to be my rookie year. I'm signed up for the evolution 1 and 2 classes, and am really stoked about having fun this year. I don't really know anyone there yet, but I'm working on that too.

Meanwhile, I'll be getting my '85 Mustang with a 351W ready to run the following season in SM.

Check out www.solo2.org for some good STL discussion.

Thanks guys I just wanted to see what I would be up against if I brought it out.

hey SVTSTS I beleive I talked to you about your SVT before at one of the last Famly Arena events. You have the black w/o the spoiler on OZ's? See I already run my cobra in ESP and yes I do agree that there is a whole lot of comp. in that class especialy because I do not have sticky tires yet.

But again Thank you for the response and hope to see you this season.

Yes that's me. Look forward to seeing you this season. Also if anyone is interested, the region is holding a novice school again this year. If you need the dates let me know.

I'm hoping to do some Solo2 events as well. We've a guy in the office (Chad Bersche) that says he's pretty active locally in his Integra.

So I'm going to get involved, work and family permitting.

svtsts you mentioned a novice school in this area. im kind of new to everything about cars, but really friggen eager to learn. most people here were probably brought up with cars, but my parents see them as grocery getters. im interested in learning some techniques. could any of you give me a date of the school, or even some events i could just watch. i just moved in from chicago about 6 months ago so im kind of new to the area too. thanks for any help you could offer.

I posted the following message in the St. Louis Branch CEG directory:
The St. Louis region SCCA is holding a Novice Autocross school on April 20, 2002. The cost is $50.00 and this includes classroom instruction and seat time with an instructor. The instructors have experience at the divisional and national level. I am slated to be one of the instructors. If you are interested, go to:
www.wcsllc.net/stlsolo/
and click on the link 2002 Solo Performance Novice School. You must preregister for this event! For those going to Spring Zing, this would be a good chance to get some seat time right before the event. There will also be an autocross the next day.
Respectfully,
Andy Hohl
