"Universal" coil over kits generally mean a lot of cutting and welding.

I don't have any specific component recommendations 'cuz I haven't changed anything on my stock SVT. My personal preferences when building a suspension for a track/autocross car are to go with linear rate springs with pretty high rates, smaller diameter anti-roll bars, and the most adjustable shocks I can afford (Penske 3 & 4 way 8760s are fantastic - and cost about the same as a down payment on a condo.) Most of the money in suspensions I setup are in the shocks. This kind of setup also requires camber plates, eccentric suspension bushings, strut bars, etc.

I can normally only (barely) afford one car setup like this at a time so, unless I wreck my 240Z, the SVT will remain stock.

I rethought my recommendation and decided my advice is incomplete, if not bad. Anytime you change to a higher rate spring (which you are bound to do no matter what kit or make you choose) you should also select and appropriate shock with dampening for the spring/car. Once you factor in the cost of springs and a decent shock together, the kits from Truechoice start to look alot better. There is no getting around the fact that when you say racetrack, you'll begin to hear cash registers ringing in the background.

Ok, I found out that the price for a coil-over kit from Truechoice is $1640 and that includes Koni's with adj reb, Eibach ERS springs and 2' of adjustment. My only concern is about camber. Does this kit have any adjustablity for camber etc. If not I know about the Ground control kit, but don't like the idea of universal. Can anyone shed some light on this?

A set of universal plates really would not be that hard to install. Cutting will most likely be required for maximum adjustment whether you're using a plate made specifically for the Contour or a "universal" plate. All you'll need is a drill and a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade. It's not tough. The thing to do is talk to Truechoice or Ground Control or another company that will supply your dampers and springs. They'll be able to shed some light on the subject. You may be able to get away with an eccentric bushing that will give you more camber by subtly changing the pickup points of the suspension arm or strut mount. I really have no idea what is available on the Contour.

One thing to be aware of, is that the ride harshness and road noise will be increased with most camber plates. By doing away with the stock bushings at the upper mounts and substituting spherical and torrington bearings, there is a much more direct line for the transmission of vibration and surface irregularities.
