Yes, both sides have the same finish and the entire thing is anodized. Only the top has the Mirko Racing logo as engraving it on the bottom side seemed pointless to him. smile Due to the way the pocket on the bottom is machined, it does have a kind of 'pattern' to it, but it's not noticeable if you get an anodized one. The pattern is kind of a 'box inside box' pattern.. I don't know how to describe it but I'll try to get a picture if you really want to see. smile

Got mine today! It couldn't be a more PERFECT match for my Optima Yellow Top. It fits perfectly between the ridges on the top of the battery and only has about a 1/16th of an inch of play top-to-bottom.

Can I clear coat this so that the WI winter won't destroy it?

Thanks,
BP

Sorry for the late replies. Yes, they shipped monday as planned (some shipped 2 days earlier). The silver ones are plain machined so they are not protected; the anodized ones have some level of protection from the elements. Yes, you should be able to clearcoat it just fine (I clear-coated a billet antenna I have for my Cougar to keep the nasty weather away. smile ).

BTW, thanks for letting us know re: The optimas. I know the Cougar has slightly less hood clearance and won't fit a tie-down on top of an optima yellow (by just a teensy bit) so it's good to know the Contours do. smile

Dev and I pride ourselves in shipping out product on time. (Even if it means I have to wake up really early to hit the PO. wink )

Got mine today (maybe yesterday, dinnit check my mailbox yesterday). Looks like a pretty nice piece. Was too tired tonight to mess around w/ the car, so I'll throw it on there tomorrow.
