Does the optima battery work with the stock tie-down? If the optima works with the stock tie-down (i.e.- battery is same height or less than 1/8th inch taller than stock) then this will work..

Actually, my old holdown was severly corodded(sp?). I took it off and threw it somewhere in my parents garage. I hope that it is still there!

If anyone is using the stock tie-down with their Optima, PLEASE TELL ME!

Yeah they should work with the Optima batteries, upright or on it's side. At least the Stock Brace works this way on mine also.
