Ok like I said I am the newbie to this fine establishment. First off I just purchased my little rocket 99 SVT last week as an early college graduation present. I will have about 6 thousand dollars extra comming in within the next couple of months. Where should I start I need a battle plan. I am thinking starting with exhaust Y pipe and Bassani. Than the suspension H&R springs and Koni's. Than the Quaife deal that everyone is so enthused about. Than the power adder there I am at a dilema Im thinking Vortech. This is just my battle plan and would like to hear other people's inputs on the situation. What would you all do if you had a 99 SVT and 6 thousand dollars to play with? Sorry about the spelling and Grammer I can fly not type.
cool

Heres what I would do:

1. rims/tires. I'd go with 17's
2. lower the car. Depending on the miles I'd get struts to go with the springs
3. exhaust system. The way to go is the true duel system that picks up about 20 hp, no kidding
4. K&N filter and all the little stuff, you know wink

Good luck with your ride laugh

Where is there a dyno that backs that statement up?
I've yet to hear claims of a 20 horse gain. Just curious!

Read my dyno plot in my modifications section...

We also calculated from fwhp to hp at the crank... and 218 hp is what it came out to be... Of course I have no baseline, but from an average of other that was there that day with stock SVTs, it gain ~18-20 hp. I never made the comment of 20hp definite, by hypothetically, it's true... laugh

Of course the gains are in the high end, and low end hurts a little, BUT get MSDS headers, and that should solve that problem... I'm going to the dyno again with the MSDS on Sept 8th, so I'll have a new dyno plot then...

Use the 6 grand as a downpayment on a house. You will need a garage to park your car in.

No seriously though what is a good plan for the modifications. Sorry I am not sending you the money. I already have a garage to park it in. I already totaled my 2000 Yamaha R1 and am not planning to get another anytime soon. I want to be able to hang with the like of a knew M3 or a stalk Cobra
