LOL... Remember that those Mondeos have no bodykits, which effectively lowers the ground clearance of the car before considering the spring height.

BTW The ST200 is only 5mm lower than the standard Mondeo, going by Ford's specification guide. It looks quite high as well in pictures, here's one below:

My Go* yes. Only place in the world to get a true bitter. US brew pubs have improved in the last few years, but I will always long for lazy evenings in 600-yr-old stone buildings, feet up next to a monstrous fireplace...and the best beer in the world.

Sorry. OT.

beer, bier... let's not get too off topick. where do I send my money? if we go under $600 that's cool, but I'm ready to go.
I don't have bodywork on '96 laugh
and given that for some reason it sits about an inch lower than most pre '98 I compared with, I'm already used to the effect

count me in

at least 20mm, possibly as much as 40mm. but 40mm is maybe a little more than an inch and a half.

That's a huge difference. I would buy if i knew what the drop was ie 20-30mm.

Let's quit talking about it and get this group buy going. Then were all be able to see what it looks like in a few months!! 20mm or 40mm it don't really matter.

I think we're waiting on a price. Terry is working with his contact to figure out a pricing scale, which will vary depending on how many people sign up.

As for the height:

Measurements quoted earlier were to the top of the wheel arch, so bodykit or no, it makes no difference.

I think if you went out and compared the present height of the top of your SVT's wheel arch with the final figures quoted by the owner of that ST24, you will have a reasonable estimate of how much drop you'll have.

To review:

Quote:
The day I did mine, these were the measurements, measurements from floor to highest point on the wheelarch.

Front was 664 mm which went down to 625 mm (39 mm)
Rear was 648 mm which went down to 628 mm (20 mm)

Over the next thousand or so miles, it has settled further, the back has gone down a bit and the car looks level now.
So I would assume that his final arch height is 624mm front, and 608mm rear. How much lower is that than your standard-height SVT?

It would be better if we could measure the actual height to the strut mounting point, as it is possible that our wheel arches are cut a bit differently. We don't have that info, though, so this is about the best we can do.

Of course, that math gives me -34mm front, and -48mm rear, which isn't exactly comforting. frown

Any other ideas?
