Danny, et al,
One thing that is already known, and will always be a fact for the Contour, is the aftermarket is VERY limited.
One thing that was started with the NECO guys was a Think Tank for a group of people that have knowledge and facilities to get things made. This is a cooperative effort that helps things get made more efficiently.
When it was made known that Dom was making some indiglo gauges, and Brad and I had worked on some and spent a lot of time and Brad's money trying to make, I was disappointed and happy at the same time. Disappointed that the effort put into our version was wasted, and happy they where finally going to get made.
I hold no resentment toward Dom for making the gauges, it was just his attitude about the whole thing. I have no secret agenda to out-do anybody. I don't seek fame or fortune in the world of Contour's. I just happen to have one of these cars and realize what the car is, and want ways to improve it.
I, too, am tired of the bickering. It doesn't do anybody any good to fight like this. I think Dom said something like that before.
So, all this said, hop on the bandwagon for the SpeedPeople.com's indiglo gauge group buy!!! I mean it!
Dom, do your gauges make a slight high pitched whining noise? Mine do.
Peace,

Well said Chris. Glad it's coming around. For the moment, I'm giving up on my totally custom colored versions due to the prohibative costs involved. I will, however, be offering up the special prints needed and the information that leads to the parts needed to make some yourselves. I'm also working a wholesale angle to get the remaining kits purchased through Cardoc's company for the standard glow gauges at a much cheaper price than my custom colored gauges would have been (~$300 once made). I've got a few more ideas brewing as well to regain my personal monies spent on this product... Nobody needs to worry about me, it's all fine. BNM is only a hobby/side business that needs only to keep it's head above water and buy me a few cool tools as a business expense, not make me a millionaire.

Our's do not humm or whine... Although the 5 color one's almost scream while operating. (I never recommend those to any of my customers.) The transformers we have are in a plastic casing completelt sealed with epoxy... There is no air or anything getting into the transformer box. I can take a pic and show you this design.
BTW - I could've done the same thing as you... Wiped the faces of the Saturn indiglo gauges clean (which happen to be exactly the same size as ours (99+)... and overlayed our graphics.. (and done it for about $10.00 cheaper than you did) but that's not quality nor what I would prefer in my dash.
Glad to see your outlook turned a bit.
Doc

My outlook or attitude has never been against Dom's company making gauges, not once did I post anything of the sort. No hard feelings on my side. The fact is, I'll be happy to sell indiglows for half of what my regular gauges are selling for!!! Much less work in retailing something vs making it AND selling it. Even if I wasn't able to sell the new glows through BNM, I'd be happy it finally happened for the Contour community. It would mean I would have time to finally get those stab-o-shock replacements made, CAI's, strut bars, etc. etc.... The way it is now, assuming the wholesale deal gets set up, I will still have much more time on my hands to at least try to get those other things I mentioned made up for some initial runs... powder coated versions even...

hey guys...i know things are semi touchy between ceg and fordcontour.org right now on this topic and i hope i'm not steppin on any toes here but.....in order for us se owners to get some of these indiglo guages fordcontour.org is doing, they need 50 orders first, right now there are 17...i have to believe there are more se owners out there that want indiglo's, and for $50 a pop it's a heck of a deal. if you want these please go to fordcontour.org and sign up or whatever and put your name down for a set. (man i sound like and add for them or something, i was on ceg first, i swear, hehe)
