I would be interested in a system that is cheaper than the other two. But why would I want to purchase something that is unproven from an unproven company with no warranty when Borla offers all that they do??

I never mentioned no warrant! The manufacturer is very reputable and stands behind all its products. They do offer a full lifetime warranty on the systems we will be offering! They also use 16 gauge stainless steel, their systems are indeed durable and well built and thought out.

I can appreciate everyone's concerns, and we will try to address them all. We are just trying to offer people alternatives. There are a lot of great exhaust companies out there that do not even know our cars exist and I happen to have found one of those that are willing to work on the Contour. Yes, the Borla and the Bassani are great systems, hopefully our system will be as good, maybe better, maybe not. Perhaps the sound is more exciting to some than the other two.

As for performance, all speculation right now, will see what the end result will be. I have the the prototype coming in next week, next weekend shold be the dyno run. I recently did a dyno a couple months ago and the only change next time I go out will be the exhaust sytem.

Good luck, group buys die out fast.. I HAD a member start a group buy for aluminized and stainless quasi dual systems, the buy fell through and everyone lost interest because the leader dropped out. I am still able to supply these and they are quasi-dual..$375 and $525 respectively.. I have pics and sound clips.. And opinions from other CEG'ers that have installed the pipes and systems.. How's that for peace of mind??

Dom cool

"Would people be willing to be a similar price or slightly more for a system that is putting our more power than either of the mentioned systems"

How would you do this? The Bassani has no resonator, a very nice Y-design, and 2 of the least restrictive mufflers you'll find (you can look right through em). They did look at both 2.25 and 2.5 inch tubing and chose 2.25 for optimal flow. The quality is excellent with mandrel bends, heavy guage stainless and very nice welding. You will have to beat this system on price or perhaps sound I think.

Still happening...

Just give it anothe week or so for testing and tweaking, should have the prototype installed tomorrow or monday.

Dan...I addressed my comment in my last post. I was more trying to see what people would be willing to pay more for and what they are not willing to pay for, stupid way of saying it though...

We will probably also be doing a single system for those who do not want a dual set-up for both Zetecs and duratecs.

Thanks

I would be very interested to hear what you have to offer, hopefully including sound and dyno stats, and then decide. It seems hte interest is there for the correct product at the right price.

I do agree that everyone has a different expecation out of an exhaust, and feel your direction of offering options is very good.

Some may want LOUD, some quiet, no rasp, etc... "tune your own".
