[RANT ON]
Okay well I have now found the true hatred for our cars, tonight I was at my bros house and when I left... that little tick (believed to be valve tap on cylinder #6) well it turned into a bang, and now it is believed that the engine may be KAPUTT, (ie. SHOT) it may have been a thrown bearing on the lower end as some have warned me of, but I doubt it, cause after having a friend who works for the local dealership listen to it, he feels it is up on top, maybe even something to do with an injector. My 'rents of course happen to be on vacation and out of the state, but luckily my mom left the keys to her zetec tour, so I can at least make it to work this week. I am debating the 3L but I have a 95 and I havent seen any good how-to's yet for it, otherwise I am completely ****ed, no matter what I am, thats all thats to it, I still owe about 3G on a car that I cant drive, I am soooooooo ****ing pissed right now. I dont know why after wrecking my first one, I didnt get smart and buy something besides a contour. I could've got a nice little dodge dakota sport for the same price and it would be better, I am rambling on, yes I know, but you dont know how pissed I am, my hand now hurts due to punching the brick wall but Im sure it'll be fine, isnt the first time I hit it, poor wall. Ouch (for both the wall and the bearing). Did I see you in Lancaster Friday or Saturday? I remember seeing a red 'Tour with chrome door trim, and for once I was in the SVT. If it was you, I may have been the last CEG'er to see your 'Tour alive. What a dubious honor...

I feel for you man. I'm hoping that I don't ever suffer the same fate. I've made a decision that if my tour ever dies on me that I'll buy a early nineties sentra SER for like 1500 or something. I'll be too broke to afford anything that's fast and efficient on fuel. They're light and fast. If she's faithful, then I'll upgrade to a SVT. On the other hand a 3.0 would be hot. Well it's your choice but either way...I'd be pissed as hell too

the 2.5 wouldnt be bad, cause Im sure its the block that needs replaced, and I have all my heads and **** to bolt on, after they would be cleaned and honed... umm my car had roughly 65g on it, thats all. Not sure what I want to do, but maybe I will be pm Mr. Noon. but John, def. keep ahold of your block, it may be needed

Not a problem. Worse comes to worst, you could always order the low compression stuff for the 2.5 and drop a supercharger on it. Wait, that's the good scenario! :p Keep your chin up, we'll get you back on the road.
This may mean I have to pay off Mr. Noon sooner than I thought. $1500 down, about $2k to go!!
