Just curious.. By the time I woke up and realized that that day was Sunday, it was already 6:45pm.. Working nights sucks.

The following attended (and ran, significant others and offspring not listed):

PA 3L SVT
Pac Man & friend (forget friend's name)
Al Tubinas
chknhwk & Terri
Dude

We had fun despite the stupid incompetant staff. My car never got the full power on the 2nd run. Pac Man got a free run because he was in a WAY slow car on the second run. Al kept getting bumped up quicker (pays to be wearing your own helmet). I'd be right behind him and then he'd just pull away from me. Staff caused at least 2 different on track incidents requiring kart stoppage. I did set the fastest lap on the first run though. laugh

One of the staff Auto-X'es at Englishtown and knows Dave ("SVT with yellow wheels"), so he came over to ogle the cars afterwards with us. John and Terri both won their class at Maple Grove Show n Shine this weekend.

I'm jealous. How often do you guys do this???

I wanted to go and I actually had off from work. I still don't know what was up with my stomache. Maybe it was a bad case of the butterflies since I would be racing such pros, LMAO! laugh

Yea it was fun even though there were a few small problems. The carts seemed like they were about half power for a few laps before it really kicked in but my cart never got up to full power on the second run. It was also irritating how the staff was giving you a lecture before the runs about how to be safe etc and they were the ones cutting people off during the race. Either way it was nice to meet people. I'm considered a car guy by my friends but man you guys know so much! This was the first time I've been able to make it out to a meet but I hope I can go again before I leave for school.

It was a great time!!! If we could get enough people together we should try to rent the track for the day next time smile . I think it's $1000 for a day, if we get 20 people that's $50 a person! But even 10 people is only a $100 per person for the day, and the track wouldn't be too crowded.

I made sure I b|tched at the old guy behind the counter after our second run about the behavior of the staff on the course.

And the $1000 is for an hour with 15 karts on a Sunday, not a whole day. Even so, we should try to do this more often. It is a blast (stupid staff snafoos not withstanding).

So what did the guy behind the counter say? Did you get comped or anything?
