That's what I thought (rims) but the "three piece" threw me. NICE!

Pm'd czboyovski as you suggested. Thanks!

Told Steph that she should change her user name from joel4prez to ItzMYtour. Damn kid, she takes all my fun away! :p

She'll be on later I'm sure. She got called into work AGAIN! All that money she's making, she'll have new wheels in no time.

Well, now that you'll practically be our neighbor you may just see her cruising around. Can't miss her, hair in a ponytail and Dale jr. plate frame on the back of her green tour.

Have a great weekend all!
Christine

Welcome to the boards , Steph & Christine smile ! I've been so busy lately , I haven't had the time to cruise the boards (or moderate wink ) like normal , so I didn't get in on this conversation till now .

It's pretty cool that you guys can get into these cars like you do (sort of a "bonding" thing , I guess confused wink ) . MY mom's outlook on cars is more of a "point A to point B" deal , it always has been . She never really understood why I was always into changing & modding cars (I've had about 2 dozen & 3 bikes in my 16+ years of driving) . I always just chucked it at her as a "guy thing" ... but I know it's not laugh . The only car she ever talks about wanting back is her old '67 Cougar GT (red , 390 , 4-speed , dual exhaust - FAST eek ) . I wish she still had it too , it's REALLY rare . She's starting to see the light though , I set her up in a nice '98 Mystique & she just loves it . We currently have 3 "Contiques" in our family , her '98 , my brother's '95 SE and my '00 SVT . We would have 4 , but I traded in my '95 SE for the SVT frown ... what a mistake , I REALLY miss it . I think Contours are a sickness . People that don't have them don't know what a great car they are , and most people think they're all 4 cylinder automatic cars . Boy are they wrong !! When they look under the hood of a 6 cylinder 'Tour , their eyes fall out of their heads eek (really crammed in there) . It's great to watch their reactions .

Man , did I get off the path there ... WOW !! Anyway , have you considered Focus wheels to replace the stock steel wheels ?? They bolt right up & look great . The Focus guys are taking them off at a rampid rate & selling them off cheap to put big "bling bling" wheels on . There are stock Focus wheels in 16" (that look like the flat spoke Mystique wheels) and the new Focus SVT wheels in 17" that look great too . I'm not trying to take any possible sales away from any CEGers , it's just another suggestion to save a buck or two . Of course , I'm kinda partial to the Mille Miglia "Cello" wheel , they're really sweet looking if I do say so myself !

Once again , WELCOME TO THE CEG !!!

Agh!! The company won't let me take my moving days because we had a guy quit. He emailed in his one day resignation letter. LMFAO! ($700/day per diem - $45/hour - in NC - start now or we give it to somebody else) I can't blame him. Now they're telling me to take my moving days on days I had planned for company training to help fill a position they need help with. Now the question is, do I take the moving days when I wanted to train for company profit, or do I not take the moving days and lose them? Any suggestions?

Plus, the tenant before me is taking his refridgerator with him so I need to buy a fridge so this severely hinders my ability to throw a moving in party (can't have beer without a fridge, can't have a party without beer!). Now it might be a bit.

Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I still have an oven. I could probably get my girl to load up her new grill. Anyone want a party? What do you think?

Thanks for the welcome Allen!

"It's pretty cool that you guys can get into these cars like you do (sort of a "bonding" thing , I guess ) ."

I guess it's a bonding thing. smile I've always been into cars. Hangin' with my Dad and working on them. Haven't done that in a REALLY long time. Steph's just getting into the car thing. But now that she's seen some of the mods that others do, she's thinking of new things to do to her car. Gotta teach her how to change her own oil!! wink

Had heard that the Focus wheels fit the Contours. Her friend has a Focus but he's not partin' with his wheels yet.

John, Craig said that we shouldn't have any problems going up to 17's. May have to have the speedo recalibrated though, no big deal though.

Pool guys are FINALLY here to dig out for my new pool. They were supposed to be here last Wed!! So, gotta run.

Thanks again Allen!
Christine

I have Firestone Firehawks SZ50 215/45ZR17 on 17" Borbet Type T's with almost no rubbing at all. The rear fender wells rub a little with a loaded trunk or sometimes tuning on very uneven roads, but are fine for everday driving.
