During a drought your not allowed to wash your own car correct? My car could use a good washing and today is such good weather for it.

yeah we are still in the drought. I wanted to wash yesterday but I had to go to a commercial DIY car wash......i thought it would be over since we had all that rain last week, depends on where you live you might be able to get away with it. As long as your neighbors arent snitches....

Can only wash your car out here on every other Saturday (even Sat if your house address is even and odd if you are odd). Must use a hose only for rinsing (max of 2 minutes total) and the hose must have some sort of positive shut off (if you let go, it has to stop flowing water).

Or, gotta go to a public car wash that recycles water (which they all do or they'd have to close during a drought).

A few weeks back I was under the mistaken impression that all I needed was a positive shutoff hose like the last time we had restrictions. God thing my mom's neighbors aren't snitches. The very next day it had all the info in the paper.

I do the two bucket method, one bucket of soapy water and wash up the entire car. Another bucket of clean water and pour it on to wash off. I haven't mastered the technique yet, I'm down to 2 3/4 buckets. laugh I'm pretty sure that is legal during the restrictions.
The car must be cool and out of sunlight and I really only wash it up before going to an autox or TT.

From what I heard the other day, it's going to take alot more rain to get out of the drought. We are 25 inches under what we should be. I hate washing my car at the car wash! Maybe I will start washing my car late at night.... cool
