i need some specs for my car and nowhere i go seems to have all the info...so if anyone can help me, i need the final drive ratio, the 60-0 time and the tranny name, they arent still using the borg warner t-5 right? its all for a 99 contour.

Yeah, I'm wondering on the final dr too. And if we can swap stuff in from the Focus MTX b/c Ford Racing has a 4.06:1 final dr ring and pinion gear set. Hmmm.

Let me know what you find out. I would do a search but all the time I have is for Pennsy forums any more.

First, here is a location for some of the info you want. IIRC the Zetec manual has a lower (numerically higher) final drive than the V6 manual, but I'm not sure and it doesn't show on that page. If I wasn't lazy, I'd go out to the car and grab my SVT Supplement, which I believe has the info. But I'm lazy, so that's that.

The manual trans is the MTX-75 and the slushbox is the CD4E.

What are the details of your 99 Contour (engine, trans type, SVT or not)? IIRC, the SVT was rated by Ford at 7.1 sec 0 - 60 (with driver and 200 lbs of ballast as all SVT's published performance specs are for this car). 15.7@88 seems to be what I recall for the 1/4 miles of the 98, but they got an extra 5 hp and a few tenths off for 98.5 or 99. All previous refer to SVT.

my signature says svt, but i was thinkin i should have made it clearer...sorry, but thanx for some of the info, im doin a history report of my previously owned cars and when i finally got to the contour i found myself lacking some info, im probobly gonna post the history on a site when i get time...i felt i needed to pay homage to my 88 turbo coupe and 86 mustang since i sold them recently for this guy i got now.
