I still have a set of original 99 SE springs and struts left - if you think that they will fit your 97 and you want them I will sell them to you. They do have 50K miles on them but they did not have any problems when I had them replaced with BAT kit at a local shop. 1999 T-Red SVT #45 of 2760 No Mods

They changed styles of (front) springs from Gen.1 to Gen.2 Contours , so they changed the struts accordingly . One style had a "pigtail" type spring & one style had a "straight-cut" spring , that's the easiest I can describe it to you . The rear spring (and strut) styles are the same for Gen.1 and Gen.2 . I have no idea whether it's high or low. As for eibach springs - I don't know an answer to your question but I read somewhere on this site a while back that your struts need to match your springs. Personally, I loved my BAT kit and it just worked out in a way that I couldn't take it off my old tour before trading it in. But it was pricey - with labor it cost me $800+ (but again, it was a sweet ride) 1999 T-Red SVT #45 of 2760 No Mods
