Signs you have too much time on your hands....oh well here it goes:
I was looking at the control switch for my sunroof and it occured to me that it looks just like the earlier contour window up/down switch. My question is...is there a way to either use an early contour switch with one touch down or somehow wire a relay to the sunroof switch that would allow one touch retraction of the sunroof? What about one touch close? For that matter, has anyone wired all of their windows for one touch down and one touch up (if one touch up can even be wired up).
Reason I ask is that I thought it would be a cool and functional way to customize the interior of my car. I really enjoy the one touch feature when I drive my mom's 2001 330i. Any comments?

i might be wrong, but from what i remember, last time i was in an older contour with that one touch switch the sunroof closed automatically when you shut off the car. Just something to think about.

I had something similar on my '90 T-Bird. It actually was an after market moon roof from ASC. It had four buttons, open, vent, close and an override. It had one-touch open, one-touch close and when you turned the car off it fully closed. This feature could be turned off the with override button. Just hit that and it stays put where it is when you turn off the car.
