I raced a 2002 Altima 2.5 yesterday, and it kicked my ass. Either its just my car that sucks, or contours overall blow, all I know is that I'm buying a new car in the next couple of months.

The 2.5 has similar HP and more torque than you. Plus it may have been manual.

Those Altima 2.5's were put out to compete w/ cars similar to SVT's, not regular Contours. Not being a d*ck, but race something where you're close, not an Altima. I'd think twice before racing one of the quicker jap cars! Well, maybe not...

Don't feel bad... I got my butt beat by a 75 year old lady in a crown vic the other night. My friend and I couldn't beleive it. :rolleyes:

The car I raced was an automatic. It's all over with the Contour. I can't say it's a bad car, it's just time to move on.

I did too, I wouldn't worry about it. It was probably some p*nis wrinkle w/ half a brain cell. DON'T MOVE ON, MOVE UP! My buddy is looking at an SVT in Lakewood for (dom dom dom!) $7,500. Miles, though. Hey, mine had 69,500 and I bought it! Do more SVT conversions! Get the phantom grip and a shift kit! Get the VCN 2000! Don't leave us!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about how you're bummin' with your Contour . Don't give up on it just yet . It's really a great car , you're just a bit miffed from losing a race ... big deal !! He can have his Altima :rolleyes: . These Contours aren't made for drag racing , they're made for twisties . Shake it off & chill for a while . As for the ratings drop ... WHO CARES !?!?!? The rating stuff is just bullocks anyways !! It's based on the "clique system" . If you're in the "clique" , you do well . If you've got your own mind & you speak it , you will not . Do yourself a favor & turn your ratings off ... you'll feel better right away . Who cares what others think . Cheers !!
