One tip I got from a cop is if you get pulled over, and I do all the time, just roll all your windows down so they can see in the car. If they say anything just say you're not trying to be a problem, but you like the tint. It's not a big deal to roll them down and try to be polite.

Ckn's advice is very good. I've been pulled over a couple times in various cars (not for tint, since I don't have any). I roll the windows down turn on the interior lights, hands on the wheel and do the "yes sir" "no sir" thing and I've never gotten ticket. I will now go find some wood to knock on.

I'll confirm that attitude goes a long way with a cop. He's thinking, "Is this guy going to shoot me?" Once he realizes that you don't pose a threat, he will be generally more reasonable if it is in him.
Also, unless you live in or are going through a small town where the cops don't have anything better to do, or you are doing something to garner police attention, you'll probably not have too much problem with tint. Heck, in Philly, you can drive around with no tags and spewing smoke as you blow red lights and you probably won't get pulled over.

Hmm, maybe I should spend more time in Philly. Less time getting pulled over!

I've heard that if you can clearly read newspaper print through them then your ok. My Linc. is way dark and I haven't had any prob yet. Allthough it stands out so much that I'm just hoping that they don't notice the tint. When I tinted mine I had them put the one grade up from limo black in the back and the next grade up in the front. You can see in the car in the daylight, not easily, but enough that you can see what I'm doing. State cop buddie always rides me about the tint but said he does not make people strip them down as long as they are decient to him. JR

I'm a dolt, , can't get the image attachment to work, going to try again. If this doesn't work just check the link on my profile. The windows aren't tinted in the shot because I took it right after I got it back together. JR

Yeah, turkey. I'm feeling the effects of too much wine last night. Damn Italian get togethers.
