my 96 zetec has a slight brake problem i believe...

after medium hard driving, which isnt very much...the front two rotors were red hot, rim was almost unable to be touched...

the rear passenger side drum was hot, but the driver side was ice cold...

what is wrong?

any ideas?

I thought your rears weren't doing enough when I read the line about red hot front rotors... Might want to start by jacking up the rear of the car and spinning/braking the DS wheel. Try the hand brake as well as the foot brake. Something in that sides rear brake is either jammed/stuck or your wheel cylinder and hydraulics aren't working. A careful inspection of the rear brakes will be a good idea.

Having a 96 make sure you have the Parking brake fix done! The rears coudl also be out off adjustment IE to tight an rubbing constantly!

One of our CAP-CEGers had a 95 without the fix!
