I just got my rotors and I want to have all the info before I get started. Nothing like getting stuck without a tool or correct torque numbers while in the middle of the job.

What are the torque numbers for the wheels and the caliper bracket mounting bolts?

Do I need to take the calipers off or just take the bracket off?

Thanks!

Off the top of my head, I believe the caliper bracket bolts are 15mm.

Depending on your car, ie if it's like mine, you will need a T45 Torx to get the calipers loose from the brakets. The other I believe is is like a 15mm allen key, but I'm not sure.

Taking off the caliper depends on if you need to chance the pads.

The wheels should be torqued to 90 PFT. I believe it's measured in PFT.

The brakets whould be nice and snug. I've never used a torque driver on them. The torx bit will probably start to give and that is when the clipers are tight enough!

BTW - Be sure to lube the sliders with greese of some sort not WD40. Search for more help!

Thanks for the info! I hope I will not have to pull the pads out. I just got new pads about 4k ago and they turned the rotors and then they warped. I guess I'll have to compress the piston in slightly to have clearance for the new thicker rotor.

Thanks once again!

According to my haynes manual, for the fronts, the torque setting for the caliper anchor bracket is 89ft-lbs. The caliper guide bolts are 21ft-lbs.
