Yep all done and it was way easier then what extreme LX did, sorry buddy We didn't swap subframes just wheel hub assemblies, calipers,e-brake cable, rotors, and pads. The brake lines needed to be modified with a $3 brake end from Napa and a double flaring tool, that was it. This was very easy for someone used to swapping rear struts. I'm still amazed how fast and easy it was, took about 4 hours for everything! Just want to give Buckshot77 a big thanks, your the man! I'll be writing up a nice how-to with picts in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned! *UPDATED* Here is the link with a detailed how-to is anyone is interested. Rear Disc Conversion How-to

Thats great im glag you had success on the conversion. And contrary to how you think i did my conversion. I did not swap my rear subframe. Thats just rediculose. I did swap my strut assembly, simply because my rt rear strut had to be replaced due to a wreck. And being that i had all parts from my donor car i had no need to buy any additional parts from a parts store.
P.S did you add some lowering springs sence you were already so close?

Are there no issues with having calipers from a car originally equipped with ABS? I thought this was a concern? No need for a new proprtioning valve? Notice any better braking, was it worth the time and money?

ExtremeLX-sorry man I misunderstood ya and I thought you swapped the whole damn rear end! LOL no need for this. I allready have performance springs from Roush so there was no need for those, kinda wish I would have done koni's though, but I'll wait till the stockers go. Ohsigma- check my post over at NECO for impressions, but to sm up YES it made a huge difference, I didn't think it would but the rears do more then the disc'ers take for granted. The caliper and abs trim rings were allready installed but all we did wsa cut the plug off that would plug into the abs module, no biggie, it effects performance in no way. Oh I want to point out that Ford actually granted us a gift here, in that the MC, Brake booster, and Propotioning valve are all the same but since drums only need very little pressure to activate versus a caliper what they did instead of create a new MC,Prop V, and BB they put a little pressure reducer on the back to reduce the brake fluid to the drum! I removed that (about 1.5" long) and re-bent the line to make up the extra 1.5" and viola now your set up for disc! Very very nice of Ford

No problem guys! If you would like it in word format I can send it that way, but its 715K so you need an e-mail system that will allow that.
