Hi Guys!

Did a brake job (Pads & Rotors) on the rear of my 98 Mystique V6.
During the process I noticed that one of the dust boots covering the caliper slides had become detached from the end and I re-attached it. On the other side the same thing happened but in re-attaching that boot it became ripped. Apparently the only way to get them (rubber boots) is to buy a $49 CDN bushing kit from FORD. No one else seems to carry these items locally, can anyone source these...

BAT shows a rear brake hardware kit on page 7 of their catalog. Part # K420K6 for $20.75.

I don't know how hard it would be to have it sent to Canada but you might try calling them at 941-355-0005 to confirm that it includes the boots and see if they have shipped stuff to Canada and know the drill.

I doubt that you will do any harm with a torn boot for a few days but you don't want to leave it that way through the winter. It is something that you need to fix, but it isn't an emergency.

Go to any parts house that carries Raybestos. They make the bushings. I bought a kit that included the spring and bushings for my front brakes that cost about $8.00 a side.
