These sound really cool. Not sure if they're
available for our cars yet, looking into it.

Quote:

H&R OE Sport Lowering Springs

These are an H&R exclusive: Springs that
lower your car subtly, to give it a slightly
more aggressive stance, but without giving
it an overly radical appearance. Spring
rates are tuned to enhance front-to-rear
balance and street handling performance,
(generally about 15-20% stiffer than stock)
while retaining a level of ride comfort
that's equal to or better than stock.

I'd like a little less ride height and a bit
firmer side and more purposed stance for the
car, but I've never felt that dropping my SVT
1.5" was the way to go. The H&R "OEM Sport"
springs however seem like the perfect option.

i looked at it, they probably are just the regular springs that everyone gets from H&R. they drop 1.75 in front and 1.25 in rear, thats quite a bit, i would be happy if my SE sat at most a inch in front and .5 in rear... it would make it look half decent and not jacked up...

What you guys need is the BAT European handling kit, or at least the BAT springs. The kit comes with 1 inch lowering springs and euro-spec struts for about $600.

Check em out in the downloadable adobe acrobat catalog @ www.batinc.net

I think the ones people here get are the "HR
Sport" springs. These are "HR OEM Sport" and
they were listed as a different item than the
standard "Sport" springs. There was also the
"Race" springs that are 50% to 100% stiffer.

If you try to search on the H&R site it will
not give you information on these. The "OEM
Sport" option is 'Stage 1' and the table that
I got started at "Sport" which is 'Stage 2'.

The 'Stage 2' springs (SVT) drop 1.4" front,
so I am assuming 'Stage 1' is less than that.

I'm after a 0.5" to 0.75" drop up front and
either 0" or 0.25" in the rear. VERY subtle,
just enough to clean up the stance a little.

Okay, here is a general idea of what these do
from the H&R site. I was right, they are very
mild and clean up your stance without putting
your front fascia on the ground. Check it:

E36 M3 "OEM Sport" - 0.75" f / 0.30" r
E30 M3 "OEM Sport" - 0.25" f / 0.0" r
E36 325i "OEM Sport" - 1.0" f / 0.50" r
Jetta III "OEM Sport" - 0.75" f / 0.30" r
Civic Si "OEM Sport" - 0.75" f / 0.75" r
Accord "OEM Sport" - 0.25" f / 0.25" r

These things are PERFECT. If they make them.

I don't really want to drop the rear any more
than 0.5" though, which is why even BATs kit
hasn't got me yet. Maybe I'll just call H&R
every day until they release an OEM Sport kit
for us. smile
