okay..im doing the wheel that has the emergency brake cable attached to it.

caliper is off, old brake pads are off, the next step is to compress the cylinder in there to fit the new brake pads in. I CANT get the cylinder to go down..I have a C-clamp on there,unhooked the emergency brake cable and even let out some brake fluid..but NOTHING..its not budging at all..i must be missing a step..or there is something different about this wheel.

please help

They turn in. Take a channel lock or even better, there is a little tool that fits the notches on the piston and turn it in.

I used the ends of a set of needle nose pliers. Only reason I knew it didn't press in was because I had been warned previously. Otherwise I am sure I would have done the same thing you are doing.
