I am working with StopTech, who is willing to make a front brake kit for the Contour/Cougar.

The kit will include 4-piston calipers, 13" rotors, SS lines, and Hi-Po pads.

To get this project off the ground, the company will need 10 CONFIRMED orders.

Cost will be $2000 for the set.

If you are serious about this please email me and we can discuss more info

2K is too steep since Baer has a 15" rotor kit for $700.

Also, BATS sells Wilwood kits for alot cheaper.

I think you mean 13" kit for 700. Baer does not have a 15". We would all have to have 19 or 20 inch rims for that.

Looks are all fun and good but I think the Baer 13" has more than enough stopping power for our car.

The Stoptech kits are popular with Audi owners that have a little too much money on their hands  ... Some Audis are much heavier than our little 'tour as well.

Damn, I am king of the agreeing today. Pascal is right. 4 pot calipers are a little extreme for our cars. 2 pot calipers will provide more than enough stopping power for your needs, plus 2 grand is a little steep (did I say that yet?) laugh

Yes Baer offers a 13" rotor kit, but with a 2 piston caliper. Also, wilwood offers a 4 piston caliper, but that uses a stock sized rotor.

The StopTech kit would combine the best of both worlds.

Stoptech makes great brakes for a "reasonable" price. Yes, I said "reasonable". If you take a look around you'll see the most 4 piston brake kits cost upwards of 2500-3000. Stoptechs kits are very popular with both the BMW crowd and Audi crowd. Yes, I know that you can get the baer kit for a whole lot less. That's why I have the 13" baer on my contour. But, let me remind our veiwing public that the baer kit in the same kit the put on the factory mustangs, SVT, Bullit and I think the GT. The baer kit is only a two piston kit. The Baer kit weighs a freaking ton and it cost more to get calipers painted. Lastly, when/if you ever sell your car it's one of the only big money mods you can pull off and easily sell. Try that with your exhuast, wheels, supercharger.

Check out the stoptech site.

If this kit was avaible when i was getting my brakes I would have waited and gotten the StopTechs. Anyone want to buy a Baer track kit? laugh
