Decided to go xmas shopping for myself  I have a 1998.5 E1 - I've pulled the pads and compared to the BAT Cat pictures - I defintely have the smaller, "newer" 99,2000 pads. However, a call to tirerack to order them raised confusion as they have DP2956 listed for all SVT's. A search through the forum and EBC's site told me that people have installed the DP2956 on a E0, and EBC only lists pads on their site for non- SVT contours - DP2955. So queston is: Is the right part # for a 1998.5 SVT with the smaller pads the DP2955 -same as that for a 99 Cougar and Regular Contour? Thanks!

My EBC catal0g lists 3,...94-2000=2956...98-2000=2955...2000...21322....2956 should be a 'short fat' pad, 2955 is long narrow, 21322 has retaining pin holes.. (EBC's head office is in UK 011-44-1604-583344)

I threw the box away that my Greenstuffs came in, but i called Tirerack and spoke to a salesman there. He assured me they were the right ones for my 2000 and they were.
If you have the same brakes as a 2000, then tell them its for a 2000, otherwise the whole E0, E1 (and the "somewhere in betweens") business will just confuse them!

Thanks for the help (and quick responses). I guess i will order the 2956's from tire rack - as they claim this for 98,99,00 SVTs.
Terry - your comment "the 2956 should be a 'short fat' pad" scares me a bit -b/c when I look at the BAT cat again, I would call the short fat pad the E0 - 1998 pad(mintex 417 in the catalog). Oh well - maybe I'll simply order and return if they don't fit.
