I just got the Mintex A/F Pads installed up front today, and there's a squealing coming from the front end when I'm going about 10 - 20 mph. It doesn't happen if I go faster nor does it happen when I brake from any speed to a stop. It only squeals when I let go of the brake pedal around 10 - 20 mph or accelerating through 10 - 20 mph. Anyone has this same problem? I know it's not because I didn't break the pads in properly because I didn't even drive for more than 1 mile yet!

Did you use the Permatex anti-squeal gel on the back of the pads that sit on the fixed portion of the calipers?

If not, this will take care of it 9 out of 10 assuming you're using new or resurfaced rotors.

Nope... Where do you get that gel stuff anyway? Are they supposed to come included with the pads? I didn't have this squealing problem with my other set of pads that I put on without putting that gel on.

More aggressive pad material will increase the chance for chatter (that squeal sound)

I recommend shims personally, but the anti-squeal paste works okay...

Do you have picture of what a shim might look like?
